Bweela Steptoe shares her father, John Steptoe's work, Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters and previews the play premiering at Synchronicity theater.
We’re so excited to be in partnership with Syncrhonicity Theater not only to introduce you all to their new production based on John Steptoe’s Mufaro’s Beautiful Daughters but also to have the privilege to invite Bweela Steptoe to talk about her father’s work. Bweela will be at Brave & Kind Bookshop with special guests Tierra Antoinette, Synchronicity Theater's own who'll be teaching the kiddos a dance from the production as well as Atlanta's fave, Drama Mama Reads on February 5th at 2pm.
Mufaro's two daughters react in different ways to the King's search for a wife - one is aggressive and selfish, the other kind and dignified. The king disguises himself to learn the true nature of both the girls and chooses Nyasha, the kind and generous daughter, to be the queen.
