Judson Mitcham's books have twice been included on the Georgia Center for the Book's list of "25 Books All Georgians Should Read:" "A Little Salvation" in 2008 and "Sabbath Creek" in 2005. Mitcham was appointed Poet Laureate of Georgia in the spring of 2012.
